I have serviced this clock and inserted 4 bushes in the strike train (as well as removing various bits of v-shaped brass soldered to the plates by previous repairman). It is running and striking well but every now and then after running from between 6 hours to 80 hours it stops because the strike stop pin gets jammed between the stop flag and the warning flag (not sure what their proper names are). I cannot get it to reproduce the fault and I must have turned it by hand through dozens of revolutions. The owner has had the clock for more than 40 years and says it suddenly started jamming about 8 years ago when they moved permanently to their retirement home at the coast. I filed a small chamfer on the warning flag to try and help the pin over but it hasnt helped and I do not know what to do now. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
