Sterling Silver PW CASE MAKER

Hello...who is there qualified to make a NEW (circa 1850) Pocketwatch Sterling Silver Case? It is for a very worthwhile Movement. What might one expect to pay for one? Any leads appreciated. Thanks. rraucher@maxinet.com

There's an ad for Pocket Watch Case Repair on page 50 of the last issue of the Mart. This fellow might be able to do the work for you & then maybe not, but he could probably tell you how much hand-work is involved and give you an idea of how long it would take, as well as who might be competent to do this if he is not able or willing to take the project on.

I used to make hinged stamp boxes and artsy-fartsy stuff about 30 years ago out of sterling silver, but this would be a bigger job than I'm equipped to do at the present.

There's a lot of handwork involved as well as time, so expect to pay dearly if you want something that looks as though it were made in 1850.
