Can anyone provide pictures and or information about what the suspension spring in my ST #8 regulator should look like / be? This is a clock that has been in my family for many years. It was repaired by a great uncle about 60 years ago, when he apparantly replaced the missing suspension spring with a scroll saw blade (see pictures). I would like to properly repair this and need help identifying what should be used.

Any pictures of the suspension spring and pendulum attachment hardware and any suggestions of where I might be able to obtain the correct parts (supplier and p/n's?) would be very much appreciated.

This clock was discussed in prior threads in which I gave some of the family history with it (and included other pictures). If you search "Seth Thomas #8 regulator" for posts by SamS, I think you will find it.

By the way, it has kept excellent time, with the saw blade, since it was repaired (60 or more years ago)!

Thank you very much,
