As I recall, the Spilhaus astronomical clocks were made in very limited production. The NAWCC library has two books by Athelslar Spilhaus and a pamphlet by Edmond Scientific.

I did locate in my own bookcase, a copy of Smithsonian, December 1971 showing Spilhaus tinkering with one of his clocks. The article notes that Spilhaus is a "Technologist's Technologist" who lectures across the country and provides a weekly cartoon strip, "Our New Age" which is carried in newspapers weekly.

The Spilhaus clock indicates time in every major city of the world, sideral time, the sun's position, time of moonrise, moon's position and phase, tides on each coast, position of stars over any position on earth etc.

Interesting person, interesting clock, once offered by Edmund Scientific at low cost, now highly sought after and very collectible.
