Spare pendulum conundrum

I usually put luggage labels on the dial clock pendula that are separated from their hosts to avoid confusion, long case pendula and weights I write on with permanent marker or again luggage labels.

Somehow I have a spare dial clock pendulum. It is a good quality early design type with the pins to hold it together while the lead is poured in.

I remember it coming with a clock and thinking that's a good one.

I have been round every dial clock in the house, none is missing a pendulum.

I have one out for repair and that has its pendulum.

So it is definitely spare. Have I actually lost a clock?

I bought a couple spare pendulums over the years. It's a good idea to label them, maybe I should get to it.
You will purchase a dial clock missing a pendulum and this one will be the required length.

I'm sure it will find a home, what worries me is what happened to the home it had!

Well, the best I can offer is fusee movement of a possible wall clock nature Or possibly shelf! It’s definitely for a fusee movement.
Cheers,
James

Did you ever convert one back from anchor to verge?

We were just discussing this, I don't think I have lost a clock. All but one of the clocks are now on the wall and some are not easy to get at. I may have felt for the pendulum and felt the crutch thinking I found the pendulum. I'm going to check them all again.
