I usually put luggage labels on the dial clock pendula that are separated from their hosts to avoid confusion, long case pendula and weights I write on with permanent marker or again luggage labels.
Somehow I have a spare dial clock pendulum. It is a good quality early design type with the pins to hold it together while the lead is poured in.
I remember it coming with a clock and thinking that's a good one.
I have been round every dial clock in the house, none is missing a pendulum.
I have one out for repair and that has its pendulum.
So it is definitely spare. Have I actually lost a clock?
