This request is directed at the South African Clock Repair guys, and is a request for some assistance.
I have Just acquired a rather short English Long-case clock by David Lockwood of Swaffham. Clock is on the left in the picture below alongside another clock.
It was bought from a dealer in South Africa, who bought it on auction.
I believe it is quite common for the calendar drive wheel to be lost or removed.
The cost of bringing in a wheel with all the duty ,courier charges and drama, lead me to ask for assistance first.
If you are in South Africa, do you perhaps have a drive wheel sitting in your parts box that you are willing to sell?
If not, does anyone know of someone in SA that has a dividing head and can cut the wheel for me.
it is 60mm in Diameter and has 24 teeth. Probably 1.5 to 2mm thick. Any contact would be appreciated.
