Literally had this serviced and polished not too long ago and it gifted me a “broken” spring...:banghead:

Did the broken mainspring cause bent/broken teeth?

I hope not. A buyer literally said they were interested in buying it.

Lucky i guess. Had this happen only once on a 30 hour cottage clock. Put in a new main spring, a week later it broke. And the spring was german made too. Yes these things really are a downer.

I may have to carefully maneuver the movement out. This was a nice clock. Now it’s on the “wait” list.
30 hour spring couldn’t have caused much damage, right?
