    Hi folks,

Long time no hear, but holidays and hospital visits and other things seem to get in the way!

I have one of these devices:
    Smiths Sectric Tuning Fork
which has been given to me - it refuses to work buzz, but the two coils are OK, as is the transistor. However, it isn't the same as the circuit diagram that I've seen, so possibly the small electrolytic has given up, as it's a few decades old now.
One of the leads connected to the battery has come off, so has anyone one of these clocks and hopefully can show me a picture of the component side?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike.

    Hi Bang,
Fine, thanks, though I don't do too much in the clock side now - I was given this one and found it interesting so I wanted to keep it.
    SB,
Electronics (radio and TV) was what I did for a living when I left school in the sixties - it was a toss-up between that and clock repairs but the latter seemed to be getting less so I opted for the first.
Smiths made a large number of interesting designs.
