Hello, does anyone know of a source for very small wire gongs that would be suitable for a small grand sonnerie striking Vienna table clock? Everything in the supply catalogues seems to be way too big. The outside measurement of the gongs cannot be greater than 3 inches. This is for a small clock made by Anton Liszt of Vienna (the brother of Franz Liszt, the composer). The pic is another clock made by Liszt showing the type of gongs that I need.
    thank you for any help.
    Jim

Have a look on ebay, there are quite a few small ones on there. They are gorgeous little clock movements to work on arent they!

Would a cuckoo clock gong work? You can get them in sizes smaller than you need all the way up to normal sizes

A cuckoo gong would be to brash sounding for such a nice clock :)
