This morning, I purchased a small New Haven shelf clock from a local thrift shop. It measures 6 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide. The clock is not an alarm clock. The devise regulating the speed has dissapeared. However, the mainspring and hairspring are running. I removed the movement from the case and dial and could find no other markings. The metalic dial face indicates that it is a 12 day clock made by New Haven in the USA.
The case is made out of wood and its "shoulders" contain round holes that must have contained a knob or some other type of ornament .
Any idease about the date of this clock, its model name, or the materials that were originally in its "shoulders" would be greatly appreciated.
I hope that the following pictures will be of some help.
Thank you,
Ed Cypress
