Yes, rather unique. This was originally posted by Ralph on 5 30 11 and again in June by two others.
Frankly, it was sent to me the other day by my nephew. I knew I saw it before, but could not remember where.
However, no harm was done...it is not common for those of us interested in horology to see something as majestic as Singing Bird Pistols.
Not one of our finest timepieces (I think) could be held in comparison to the intricacy of creating this magnificent singing bird.

I remember seeing a documentary on the Scottish fellow who did the automation on these pistols. It also is fascinating. I don't remember if the link to the documentary was posted on the MB. If you can find it, it too is worth a looksee.
