    Hi All,

I recently acquired a Seth Thomas Sonora chime clock without a pendulum bob. Does anyone one know what the correct weight should be? I know the weight isn't too crucial but what did they come with from the factory.

    Thanks!

I have 3-4 Sonora clocks and they all came with a bob like this one at Timesavers. I can't guarantee that they were original to the clock.

The pendulum bob on my Sonora is a bit different; I do not have a gram scale to check the weight:

Thats the ST replacement bob you can buy from most suppliers. It will work fine too, if you like it.

Boy on a fence is an original design but not seen as much as the solid lead and the brass face on lead. There is also a smaller lead version. Weights run between 3 and 5 1/4 ounce. I'm working on one now with the big lead bob with original brass cap. Will weigh it and report back. Willie X

The S-T pendulum I have is 5.2 ounces.

BTW, this little Ozeri Pronto scale,
@ $11, is da bomb for the old clock shop. I have much more expensive scales but this little baby is about all I have used lately, simple and super convenient. Willie X

Thanks everyone. I think I'll go with the #10213 from Timesavers at 5.2 ounces.
