Hello All,
I am new to the forum. Just got a Seth Thomas Office Calendar No 2 for a great price. I have wanted this clock for a while. Two questions. 1.)The dials are flaking badly and the person that had it before tried to stop it by putting something over top. What would be best a restoration or sending them out to be redone? Any suggestions on where to send them?
2.)Can anyone tell me what type of movement are used in these? The person that had it before me instead of rebushing cut other brass pivots and seems to have lead soldered them over the original plate. The movement works, but would it be worth getting a new one or getting the original fixed?
any suggestions or help is appreciated
