• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

I picked up this clock today, I believe it is a reissue but the logo doesn't look like some of the photos I've seen on this site regarding Seth Thomas #2 Reissue. Was wondering if someone could help shed some light on what I have here. It didnt come with weight nor dial.

looks legit to me… If it were one of the 4000 re-issues, it would have the number on the label. Do you have the dial? Or it might help to see more detailed photos, as these are probably the most counterfeited clocks around, but I don't think there would be anything wrong with hanging it on the wall and calling it a regulator 2. By the way, some of them had the serial number, and the letter for the month… Month plus year… In reverse… Stenciled on the back of the cases, it would be interesting to see the back of the case. Of course, those numbers also got counterfeited, but sometimes you can tell. how about photos of the dial, weight, and hands?

Thanks for the chart. The clock did not come with a dial, hands or weight. How many pounds should the weight have?

on antique price guide it has #2 and #2-reissue separated and you can see the slight differences between them. Yours, to me, looks like a legit #2.

I now need to acquire the correct dial and hands. I saw a dial for sale but I was wondering if there is any difference based on production date?

Of course it's legit. All the reissue cases used phillips head screws. And U.S. America was the term used early 20th century.

Study the chart from Teaclocks post #6. I once bought a new dial from an auction site but the metal was much heaver and of course, you had to drill some holes into the proper locations. I ended up having my original repainted.

Not sure about the weight as my father is enjoying the clock.

Mine is an original, but i always question things, so seeing as how mine is right in front of me, i checked the seconds hand from the center arbor, and mine is 1-3/4, so now im going to stop second guessing. lol Its also the most accurate of all my clocks so far.

I just got this original dial. All I need now are the hands.
