Greetings. Does anyone know what types of movement(s?) were in a ST #1? Also, I've seen a chart on dating a #2 (no, not going on a date, but identifying the date of manufacture... sorry, bad joke). Is there anything similar for a #1?

    Thanks,
    Tom

I posted a ST movement a few years ago, i think it was determined it was a No 1.

I went back and checked its a no 3.

Thanks. There was one posted for sale locally, and without prior knowledge, I was surprised to see it had a round movement - just not what I was expecting... Unfortunately, someone beat me to it - I never received a reply and the posting was deleted a day of so later. If I remember, it looked to be in great shape (although maybe missing the bottom adornments?) and was only $150.

It gave me the opportunity to learn more, so I got that going for me...

Sometimes we win sometimes we lose. I almost had a mint condition #2 for 75 dollars on craigslist, but someone beat me to it.

Yea, I feel I've had my share of wins on CL, so I look for the silver lining and think, they may not be making them any more, but they keep selling them...
