The clock goes to ready status at 3/4 hour and starts the strike sequence 5 minutes later, how do I adjust the delay? I have been making small adjustments but this is the closest I can get it. I suspect it was bent out of shape at sometime, antique store find. Pictures of how it's supposed to look would be helpful.

First, remove the minute hand and turn it 1/4 turn forward and reinstall it. It then will start the warn at the top of the hour and strike just past the hour. Then you will be able to bend the “J” shaped wire and the release pin on the wheel next to the fly and make it begin striking on the hour:???:

Looks like the 'J ' hook has been bent forward, needs to be bent back a little. Just enough so the minute hand can be turned backwards. That's what that flat slanted part (at the tip of the hook) is for.

Do what wow said first.

My first thought is that will cause the half hour strike to be off 15 minutes, it's correct currently. The J wire triggers only the half hour strike from what I can see.

My bad, I guess the one in the picture is also shaped like a J. I will give this some thought.

The flattened tip of the hook is supposed to stop against the minute hand shaft. Willie X
