This has been in my family 70+ years. I have had it 30+ and never wind it as it seems tight and don’t wish to break it. Would like info as to any value it may have and how to sell it.

In today's world clocks are difficult to sell and have little value, even if they are in good condition.

My advise would be to keep it and eventually give it to someone who shows interest in having it restored.

Welcome to the board.

The clock is probably fully wound which is why you cannot wind it any further.

You could try hanging the pendulum bob onto the hook and giving it a swing to see if the clock starts. Even if it does, it should not be run for long periods as it needs cleaning and servicing.

It's a nice clock and some people collect Seth Thomas clocks, but, as has already been said, it does not have a great deal of monetary value. You could look for similar clocks on Ebay (under 'completed sales') to give you and idea of what such clocks sell for.

It appears you have a ST Shasta model circa 1910'ish. You can get the celuloid collums from e-bay fairly cheap and as for value it is worth more as an heirloom than a collectable..

This is quite a high-end offering from the ST Adamantine series. Value is around $150 as-is and can be more if restored. I am finding an increase in sold clock prices despite the "decrease". That said, it could been sold for $1000 if the correct person came across it! It's a keeper. Please contact a repairman and they will gladly assist in setup and proper use.

Those springs appear to be wound as tight as they can go. Trying further will likely break something. Repair/restoration will likely cost more than it is worth to anyone else, but as a family heirloom you or your family members get to choose what it's worth to you. As is , it might bring a couple hundred on auction sites.

It already has celluloid columns, and even if not they are hard to find on Ebay.

Amazing! I'm not sure where you are getting your numbers, but around here the going rate would be around $15 to $20 for a clock in that condition.
