So, I went out today with the intention of buying 3 finials for a P&S. Repros were fine for my purpose. I recently coughed up almost $300 for a very nice set of 3. They were very accurate cast split finials. But, I had no desire to spend that much on this particular clock. So, this is what I came across. All I can say is this whole lot was a lot less than the 3 previously mentioned. Some of these are quite nice, a few of them belong on a bedstead, all of them I think are 20th century, none really strike me as period, but who cares? I may have to go into business just to dump the surplus.

Yes, that's quite a haul - you need to add them to every piece of furniture in the house and be "that odd guy" in the neighborhood.

i dont think this beats the tub full of dials, but that is indeed an impressive collection. i have an affinity for the set of three in the bottom right.

Well, I can set those aside just for you. Shall I bring them to the show today? Of course, given your interests in plating, I trust they will done up in gold plate shortly?
