Hi everyone. I recently purchased another Sessions Regulator clock. Need help figuring out any information that you guys can provide.

Opened it up, there were no dates on the movement. I'm not sure Sessions dated their movements. Inside the wooden case written in pencil is "1/23/39". I assume that's a purchase date from a previous owner. Glass is missing from clock face.

Can anyone provide any information? Thanks.

~ Van

That was the first clock I ever worked on, the bait that got me hooked! What a joke to call it a "regulator," right?

I found that the hinge on the bezel is weak for the weight of the glass...I'd try to get glass thinner than window pane glass. and I suggest you support the bezel when you open it.

The penciled date is likely a repair date.

Arthur,

I love my new purchase. I never thought of the pencil mark to be a repair date. Yes, the bezel is less than desirable. Very weak.

Based on your experience, any idea how old this clock might be?

Thanks.
