My father has a Seiko Pogue that he bought in the closing days of Vietnam. He was a pilot flying the troops home anyways it’s not working and I’d like to get it overhauled for him, any idea what the cost of that would be and any recommendations for someone in the Seattle area that could do the work thanks

after searching in vain for a competent watchmaker with reasonable turnaround times in the US, I have turned to Australia. Specifically, Vintage Time Australia.
Adrian is one of the best.
Unfortunately I have had to resort to using global sources for several of my precious watches due to lack of parts availability for many watchmakers here in the US.

Just a couple thoughts:

1) Have you checked with RGM Watch Company in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania? I imagine Roland has very good sources.

2) If you're going to send a valuable watch overseas for service/repair, why not send it to Seiko, directly?

Seiko have service centres around the world.
Roughbarked, Does Seiko still service these watches? I have not a clue, but would think they had discontinued service for this vintage. Anyway, there are several competent watchmakers that could do the job without resorting to 'round-the-world shipping. VTA is one of the best so not a bad choice other than shipping...

Seiko should still service these watches. They may keep them longer if any part needs to be back ordered or they may also tell you that no more parts are available. In which case, they will refuse to service it.
