    These pictures were taken during the NAWCC tower clock tour of England in 2000. This is Salisbury Cathedral showing its original iron "birdcage" tower clock from the 14th century (dates vary), and the "modern" tower clock by Joyce from circa 1883.

    Hi Dough,isn´t that a great clock working there from 13..onwards with only 50 years interuption?I love it and never miss to see it when I´m over there.The sound of it is great!Tell me one human made machine that can compete with that one still functioning over centuries!(How boring is the nice modern one in relation to the old Clocke.)
