From what I understand, a Rolex cal. 1225 is the same as a cal.1220, with the addition of a date module. If that is the case, would both calibres use the exact same balance wheel?

    Thanks,
    Doug

As no-one seems to have an answer, perhaps someone could suggest a source/resource (preferably online) where I could find this information.

Yes, they take the same balance wheel. From Jules Borel:

    721/1924 (discontinued)
    BALANCE COMPLETE, SHOCK
    7625
    ROL 1220 21600 BPH-SS-KIF-ADJ STUD HOLDER
ROL 1225 21,600 BPH SW. SEC. CAL KIF

    Hope this helps.

Checking another source (AWCI library) I also agree. The 1220 and 1225 both take balance complete 7625.

They both are based on calibre 1210, but 1210 itself has a completely different balance (screwed with overcoil).
