Hello, I am looking at a Revere R-955. Unfortunately, it has the cheap Chinese after market rotor. I do like this clock, and am wondering if I were to restore it to original, what type of rotor did this clock originally have. I’m guessing b-3 - but not sure. I believe the clock was made in 1953. Please post if anyone knows, and do you think the R-955 is worth the hassle.

Yes, most likely a B-3 coil + rotor. Some Revere clocks from that era also used a 3.6 RPM Telechron H-10 motor but there never was an aftermarket replacement. PM me if you want to return your clock to original and need a Telechron motor. (those aftermarket motors were noisy and ran very hot).
