• We are aware of the performance issues with the forum. These are due to problems with Comcast's shared lines in the Columbia, PA area. On December 15, we signed a contract to bring a dedicated fiber line to the forum servers. It should take somewhere between 30 and 90 days to install. Thank you for your patience.

The serial number is 535361 and the model number is 528. I replaced the chain once, but it was a very tedious task and it took me a while to get it done. I am hoping there is an easier way that doesn't involve disassembling the entire movement.

Any suggestions?

There is no easier way. I am now several months into testing a chain that is stronger than currently available and easier to install, though the installation process is still the same.
