I have a cuckoo clock that a friend gave to me to fix for him. It has a regula 25-73 movement in it and I found that the plastic gear that the dancer platform mounts on is broken. Does anyone know where I can order a replacement gear? I tried to upload 2 photos of the part to help identify it, hope it works. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The last ones I purchased came from Black Forest Imports, part no. ADG48. Unfortunately, they don't show up in their current catalog so the supply may be used up.

I've repaired these in the past by machining off the plastic tube and installing the wheel on a brass hub which has been bored/machined to the proper specs. There's so much tension on the top portion, where the clip attaches, that trying to repair the existing plastic tube is a futile effort.

Thank You LaBounty, I'll give them a call and see if they can still get them. If not, I'll try doing what you said you do.

I repaired one of my Mother-n-Laws by drilling 2 holes 180 degrees from each other, then attached the plate to the gear with very small screw and nut. I was unable to locate a new gear anywhere for the fact they are no longer being made from what I was told by a variety of suppliers. That is why I resorted to the screw and nut fix. Still Workin. I'm sorry if all this appears on one long line. It seems that I am unable to insert a carriage return and line feed here. flatlander10

Thank you for this info, I just checked and they do have them in stock for $8.80 each.

You could try posting in a word processor, then cut and paste here. I've heard that some people have line feed issues.
