Help Reassembling Keebler Lux Novelty Clock

Hello!

When disassembling a Keebler Lux clock for cleaning, the zip tie I had around the spring was not sufficient for the job and it flew apart before I could take pics for reassembly. Most of it is quite intuitive, except for this mini gear. I've searched for info, but no luck. Anyone know where this goes? (ignore the other part in the pic - I posted about that in the Parts Wanted section).

This my Lux clock. It might be sightly different from yours, but there is a small gear on the front side of the movement. Hopefully you can see it in the picture? When your spring let loose, it might have knocked it off.
About the other part - it may be possible to cut off the broken pivot, drill a hole and insert a wire to remake the pivot. You'd need a very small drill bit and Dremel or something similar (unless you have a lathe).

My small lux clock has a wheel similar to that located on the minute arbour, outside the front plate. It drives the hour cannon reduction wheels. I may have a photo on file and will look it out.

Fantastic! Glad we could help.

These clocks are surprisingly well made for what they are - and fun to watch.

I still think you could repair the other part, but you could also check the auction sites for a basket case to use for parts.
