Hi everybody. I've noticed vintage French travel alarm clocks (frequently 7 Jewel) available on the internet, they look the same/similar to Swiss and German ones although less common. Hopefully my question does not display too much ignorance: are French clock movements of similar quality to Swiss/German ones? The ones I'm interested in appear to be from the 1940s - 1960s (I'm guessing). Is there any reason to believe if they are coupled with thermometers that they are better/worse quality? Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

I think they can be just as good as any other maker. 7 jewel is on the low end, of any maker.
