Good day
I have just finished renovating an old Junghans mantle clock, (one with a 5 pointed star logo)
The pendulum assembley was missing so a looked around for a suitable system as shown in the photographs.
I have two questions. First how was the suspension spring attached to the post - it is not drilled for pining.
I have simply put a pin through a spring and rested it on the top of the post for experimental purposes but clearly this cannot be the correct solution.
Interestingly there are two incised marks on the post which show where the spring should be located.
The second question is what sort of pendulum bob should I use for this clock.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for your interest
