I'm working on this clock because the calendar hand moves erratically. Does the calendar hand advance every 12 hours so that in a 24 hour period the hand actually moves twice before it changes to the next date? I've checked the gears and nothing seems to be bent. The pin that advances the calendar gear
appears to be lined up correctly . The taper pin is temporary as I try to figure this out. Thank you

Is it advancing by two days occasionally? I once had a similar problem caused by the saddle-shaped spring holding the date wheel in the wrong position so that sometimes the pin caught right on the point of a tooth and it was 50/50 whether the pin would slide off and find the correct tooth to turn the hand by one day, or catch just behind the point and turn the hand two days. The fix was to adjust the spring arm in its mounting post to hold the wheel a little differently. I think in your case you would shorten the arm slightly.

Also make sure the pin is not too low into the driving wheel's teeth. That will cause it to move too much too. The spring at the top needs to press hard enough against the wheel that it prevents the wheel "free wheeling". It looks like it's bent upward a bit. You should hear it click into place when the date changes.

Shutterbuy did that and hear a nice solid click now. Will have to let it cycle for a couple of days to see if that fixed it. Thanks for the reply.
