• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m currently working on this silk suspension movement and when I have the plates tight the time train stops. If I slacken the plates even ever so slightly it takes off as expected.
Am I missing something with this? There’s almost no clearance between the barrel and first wheel and appears that’s where the binding is occurring.
Is there a spacer of some sort that is perhaps missing?

The strike train runs beautifully.

Never mind, found it! I’m embarrassed that I didn’t notice the strike train spring popped the back of its barrel open when I wound it causing the barrel to twist and somehow place pressure on the time train. All is well again now!

it’s good to be back!
