Looks like you have a model No 3 (dimension should be about 15 W by 17 1/2” H) ... highest model number in the 1904 catalog is 48 so clearly lots of case options.

Open questions for anyone who has a Rempe of any sort, would appreciate these details
- close up photos of the movement
- any information about patent dates on the movement
- photos of the suspension & pendulum arrangement, weight of bob if possible

Hi Bruce,
Great looking clock! Yours is model no. 3 made of solid oak.
Does it run? Is it possible to get a picture of the pendulum bob? And the weight?
Cheers,
James

flynnr2/James,

Thanks for the model information. I received a pendulum bob with the clock but I am not sure if it is original. It looks like something off an earlier clock. It is not currently running. If you think it is original, I will weigh it for you.

Thanks again,

Bruce

brc Thanks for those photos. Agree the bob look like an older one, but probably not original to the clock (those appeared to have a star of sorts case into the back). Does look like the original wiring (which is long gone on mine in any event) - have seen that on more than a few photos.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the additional pictures. Yes I suspect your pendulum is from an Ogee style clock and is not original as flynnr2 already said. If you don’t mind could you weigh the pendulum. I’m guessing around 2.2 oz and 1 5/8 in diameter. Looks like everything is complete and it shouldn’t are too much to get er up and running.
Cheers,
James

Here’s my No 24 oak wall regulator. Just wrapped up tidying up everything! Replaced the paper dial (previous was dirty incorrect paper), straightened and cleaned bezel, re-wired (old was bare and broken in places), serviced movement & replaced missing switch contact with nickel button as well as new batteries from Ken’s clocks.
