It looks like it might be the "Vogue" Ron. I've found at least two different versions of this model.

Thanks Don. The side pieces threw me off. I imagine from the 1930s judging from the name on the dial just above the centre arbour.

Ron
The 30s is likely a good guess. Varkaris mentions that the silvered dials were introduced in the 20s with many models showing up in the 1928 catalogue. Apparently the later versions (1938-43) were painted inside the chapter ring to imitate walnut wood.

Thanks, Don. The carving does look strange. I wish I knew. Not my clock but I have passed the information on to the owner. Wish I had a copy of the "Pequegnat Story". Hard to find.

From the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Clocks it appears that the model is the "Essex"

Hi Dick. The Essex and the Vogue have identical dimensions. Notice the open dial face on your pic of the Essex, Varkaris states in her book that those were introduced in the 1938-43 time period. Here is a pic of the Vogue from page 191 of Varkaris' book. I have also included a liveauctioneers link of the Vogue. I didn't read this in the book, but it's my speculation that the Vogue was the earlier model with the complete silvered dial and the Essex followed at a later date with a new dial and name change.
