This article explains the process of positional adjustment using the procedure known as dynamic poising. It uses American RR Watches as the examples but applies to all precision watches. It was a bigger project than I anticipated and I have a number of people on these forums to thank for their encouragement and criticisms. They were extremely important in helping me be clear and kind to the reader.

The article summarizes the information from several authoritative sources and is intended to inform the serious collector and those workers seeking to provide the highest level of service.

At least it has nice pictures.

    Hope you find it useful.

    A fine piece of work!

I've added a link to it in the "References" section of the "Watch Adjustment" Encyclopedia article.

Thanks all; and thanks Kent. To be clear, this is free for distribution. I have benefitted from the knowledge freely shared by others, including those on this list. I learned more about Hamilton in the last year than I paid attention to in the last 20 years.

I only put the watermark on it because I have had people poach my stuff as their own. But you are free to print it, share it, use it for fire starter.

Tony Siminon and Greiner Vibrograf AG were very generous in allowing me to make use of their materials.
