Barr & Poole Poole wood case

Just acquired this wood cased Poole. Note the built in levelers.
Does any one have one with the original battery cover? I would like to know what it looks like and what material it is made of.

Hey Jim,
I have collected these for years and never found either the Salem or the Patrician with the original back.
I use plastic tube to hold the stack. Seems to stay in place better than the free standing version you seem to have there.
It will be interesting to see if anyone has an original..............

Neither of my Salem's has the original battery cover either, but one does have something kind of special. Its original leather carrying case with blue velvet interior. I have never seen another and really enjoy the one I have.

I can't imagine they were all supplied with this case. Even back then this would have been a costly extra. This was probably for the salesman to make transportation of the clock to his clients in a safe and secure manner or a special order for some high end client.
