Whilst on the subject of pocket watch keys, here's one I picked up very recently. Strangely topical.
I wonder how many of these were originally made, and how many still exist...?

Piers.

Very cool! I've never seen one of these before. It seems to be from Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee 1837-1887. I'm hoping someone can shed additional light on this great key's history.

Unfortunately, I don't have a key to celebrate one of the Royal Jubilees. The closest I get is a fob from her Diamond Jubilee 1837-1897 that has 2 images of Victoria and the years of her reign on one side and the Prince of Wales on the other. Sorry for the low resolution, but they are the only photos I have handy.

And perhaps this 1887 Waterbury Watch Company Queen's Jubilee puzzle would also count. I think the goal is to work the ring around through the holes in the medallion, although I've never seen anything in writing describing how it's done. The British Museum has one of these in its holdings, and they come up for sale more often in England than in the US.

Very nice..... I like that puzzle fob!

As far as my key goes...I've seen a few flat conventional advertising type keys which celebrate the same event, but not one like mine.
I'll post a pic of my collection later.
