16s 3FB Getty model, "Burlington Special" (Illinois Watch Co.) grade 185, model 5, L/S, 19j, adj., ser. # 2106100 (1908).

I purchased this attractive 16s Getty model (movement, with dial and hands only) last August. I quite like the looks of these 3FB Getty models. The nice thinning and rounding of the wheel spokes, and their exposure through the train bridge "fingers", gives you a good look at the motion of the train right to the escapement.
Burlington Special appears in the center of the double sunk dial which has decorative black Roman numerals with red numerals at 5 minute intervals. "Burlington Watch Co. Chicago, U.S.A." is stamped in black on the rear of the main plate beneath the balance wheel. A hair line can be seen at on the dial at 26 min. The movement came in good condition, runs extremely well and keeps very good time.

The Dueber Silverine SB&B case, was pulled from on hand spares.

Picked up this Waltham last week. 18 size, with Santa Fe Route stamped on the movement. Nice Bates & Bacon 20 year gold filled "Royal" case. Anyone know if the dial is appropriate - many other Santa Fe's had that marked on the dial as well. I mostly collect keyword watches, this is a collection detour for me. Thanks!

I would say no, a 24 hour dial seen mostly in Canada and Mexico, I don't believe that the Santa Fe went through either country. Most likely the original dial was damaged.

I once made the comment here that 992s are like elbows. Every collector has a couple. So I bought a circa 1918 Hamilton 992 fixer-upper. The mainspring is broken. It is missing the whip spring. The balance doesn't swing freely. The hands are rusty because of the yellow plastic crystal. The case threads are in tough shape and it takes several minutes to get the bezel and back screwed on. I'll add it to my pile of things to do.
