Hi!
My name is Virginia and my grandmother left me a beautiful pocket watch. I always wanted to know the history of it but can't find it online. Can somebody help me please? Here's the details. If you know anything please let me know! Thank you!

The watch says

Waltham

Numbers are in roman numeral

Bottom says France

And below the hands it says

incabloc
17 jewels

Waltham was an American watch co. It is also known as Waltham American Watch Co. in its early days. The word France throws me a little. Incabloc is a type of movement. The 17 jewels refers to the number of "jewels" in points of the movement where there is high ware and tear. Higher the jewels, the high quality; respectively. Is there a serial number on the movement? Not on the case.

Hi Virginia the Waltham made in France is just a group using the name, like i have a Elgin watch made in France.Your watch is not that old perhaps 1950,s or newer. As for quality pictures would help to get more replies to your question here.
I found this about Waltham made in France , perhaps you could have a look at it.
