Any information. Maker, age etc. approx. 6 ft. Tall. Pinwheel escapement.
nice case, but since they all look kind of the same more detailed photos and/or investigation are warranted. for example, if the pendulum rods are oval then it's a waterbury. french ones tend to have 'france' stamped in the suspension block... but sometimes there's only a number stamped somewhere and no way to really i.d. ... UNLESS someone recognized the case and says, oh that's a _________.
btw, looks like you're running out of room... you can hang it at my house, if that would help.
The pend. Rods are round. I haven't looked at the susp. block. I just purchased it and love the sound of a pinwheel movement, very soothing.
french or swiss (glad i could 'pin' that down for you!).
look forward to seeing photos of the movement. check out this older/atypical one i've been working on: jewelers regulator movement, pinwheel --> questions!
Okay, that's just bad. And you only narrowed it down from 3 to 2. You still have us sitting on pins and needles.
