The pendulum is rather Celtic, not Viennese ;)

There is no name on the movement only a serical number of 65686 no other marks at all.
It is just a regulator with glass sides and a porcelain dial. If the pendulum can not be identified then chances are the clock will not be either.

I can not find the pictures I took of the movement.

    Thanks for your help

Don, your movement is with 99% certainty from Carl Werner, Villingen.
They were around from 1861 - 1913, then taken over by Schlenker-Kienzle.
Werner was the largest producer of "French style" movements, both marked and unmarked.

Thanks for the info, I checked the back of the movement and found some dates on it one is clear 1-1-73 and other is not clear but I beleive it is 8/31/46 and one more almost impossible to read but maybe 6/12/04 for sure the top two dates are there.
    Thanks again.
I will look him up for more information.

kienzel 3.jpg kienzle 4.jpg kienzle 5.jpg kienzel 2.jpg Hi Don,
Here are two older photos of the works and it appears as though they differ.Mine has the logo and the date and opinion that it was a Carl Werner movement that Kienzle put it's logo on maybe before or after Kienzle bought out Werner.
This particular clock was sold by a retailer in Cairo, Egypt and his shop was close by one of the gates that Saladin had built to protect the city.
The comments came from the German gentleman who was a member and has passed on.

Bruce, your movement is indeed a Schlenker-Kienzle, but one of the Carl Werner designs.

Was this clock made by Kienzle or who?
    Can you tell?
Any guess of the date by the serial number?

No, there are no records available on dating by serial numbers of Werner
    or Schlenker-Kienzle.
