Looks to me that the verge is in backward, as the crutch should be at the back of the movement, along with the suspension. The way you have it, there is no way for the suspension to clear the motion works. The suspension spring is pinned to the top post. Suspension spring part # 20802. Also need suspension leader, part # 15895 or 15896, depending on what you have for a pendulum. Part #s from:

What does the clock look like? I've never seen a Hermle with the pendulum in the front, but I know I haven't lived long enough to see everything. ;)

Lenght of the pendulum hanger will depend on what type of pendulum is used.

The type of hanger is a pendulum rod with the suspension spring attached. The rod has a bend in it to go around the center shaft. While I can't tell you how long it would be for a 45 cm movement. The one for a 55 cm movement with a 3-3/4" diameter bob is 16-3/4". 10 cm(3.94") shorter should work Ok.

The movements I have are similar to the 141-20/32cm as shown in Merritts cataog, #P-1571c. Mr. Butterworth also has this movement. I cannot find the proper Suspension spirng/hanger needed in any catalog.

Harold et al,
Jim is correct. This movmement is for a standard kitchen clock style or schoolhouse style clock case in which the movement is rear mounted and the pendulum front mounted. Black Forest Imports shows it as part #HSO29F.

Yep. Rear mounted movements typically have a "P-curve" in the pendulum leader, or something similar, to clear the center shaft. But this is the first time I've seen one with rack-and-snail equipment. A lot more stuff to clear.
