Well, not really sure if this is the best place to post this, but I wanted to share some pictures of this parts pox that came from an early watchmakers shop.
I'm not sure what it would have help originally, put the top compartment has places for 56 vials. and there are 21 individual drawers for watches? crystals? other?
It has a bit of wear to it but it is made of nice quarter sawn oak. and it is a nice piece of history. Has anyone else seen on like this from a watchmaker?
Thank you,
Grant

Yes, gorgeous. The skill, craftsmanship and pride in workmanship are evident and timeless. This is one of those cases where vintage tools are so much more satisfying than modern ones.

I really like these cabinets. I've been trying to aquire some of these for a long time. Apparently I will have a few when my friend retires. (Always wanted to set up a pre 1900 workshop/showroom almost half way there)

They were available from material houses in the later 1800s I saw the identical one in an old catalogue. Though I can't find it now.

Very beautiful. This was my find for the weekend in a city wide yard sale.

I would say that you are fortunate that you do not smoke! Neither do I, but I have had a few cigars over the years.... Not sure why though as after I do I always think it was a bad idea :)
