Just picked this one up yesterday. Everything in great condition with the exception of the fact the stenciling on the lower glass is missing. Naturally, one of the most important and hardest things to restore. I found an old thread on the message board from 2006 about a member searching for good photos of the glass. I guess all of that data has been archived as I could not retrieve any of the data. Anyone on the board remember that thread or know anyone that might have one that could provide some good pics? I pulled everything off of the net that I could find. Have a Graphics shop that has done lettering on clocks for me before that said they might possibly be able to help if I could get some good digital pics. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Really nice Parry's Buggies clock and yours has those four decorative knobs on the corners of the lower door that always seem to be missing (or half are missing) on most of these clocks.

Bruce's image gives you an example of the buggy they used on the lower door glass. However, the glass also had the slogan "LARGEST MFRS. OF BUGGIES IN THE WORLD." underlined by a squiggly line; all above the image of the carriage/buggy.

If you Google PARRY'S BUGGIES CLOCK a number of images will come up including a couple showing just the bottom door. There was a really nice close-up from a Worthpoint listing.

Best of luck with your project!

Bob

The companies often changed their logos and wordings over time. So one differing with the another is not necessarily a bad thing. Willie X

Update on this clock from 3 years ago. Found a company that took all of the photos I received from NAWCC members and the net of the stencil work on the lower glass. They do computer generated signs using all kinds of materials. I’m very happy with the work they performed. Had trouble getting good pics because of the lighting and flashback, but the clock looks really nice. Please understand I’m not trying to defraud anyone by trying to make this clock look original. I did it to satisfy me.

MQ32shooter;

Superb job! The clock looks excellent!

Whatever has been restore on your clock has been done really nicely and it all comes together to make a wonderful example!!!

One of my observations regarding advertising clocks is they are almost always in terrible shape, so it is great to see one once and a while that looks like it would have coming out of the factory. I've owned more than my share of 100 year old advertising clocks that look like they are 200 years old and I'm OK with that if they are uncommon or rare. However, when trying to visualize what one of these clocks would have looked like on the wall of a turn-of-the-century country store; your clock has that look, and it looks great.

Thanks for sharing,

Bob
