Oswald rolling eye timepiece- mainspring needed...

I've taken in an Oswald rolling eye dog timepiece for repair- a late one, probably from the 1960s, with a molded body, not wood. The spring is not in a barrel, and is broken. I don't see suitable springs readily available from the usual sources- can someone point me in the right direction? Better still, does someone have a junker with a good spring they would be willing to part with? Thanks.

I suspect you could steal a spring from an alarm clock

What is so unusual about the spring? Have you made accurate measurements. Sometimes you can modify an available spring. And, new springs are generally stronger than old springs so going 1 thou thinner is acceptable, or preferable, if the movement is in good shape.
