Hello everyone!! I have an OGEE clock that has seen better days, but that being said, I can do light wood working and have some vaneer strips and walnut wedges. Should I take the old girl down to her side wall and build her back up, or just leave her be "As Is', she's not for sale, just giving her a good home. Same photo, just wanted to show each image and the areas in red are what I am asking about.
Thanks

As full of nail holes as it has I would suspect it had some decorative molding around the parameter which has been removed. If you can remove the center frame I would try to reglue it where the miters are apart. The rest of it I would look for loose veneer and inject super glue under the veneer and stick it down. The few spots on the rest of it which the veneer is missing you could glue small pieces of veneer in there but would be difficult to sand level and match the finish. An easier fix would be to do a burn-in repair. Burn in repair pn wood - Google Search If the repair is large enough that it shows you can use a brush tip graining pen to draw some grain on the patch to make it blend in better.

Thank you for the information. I'm on the hunt for a click spring break pin for the gong side. I found some weights for it and I found some veneer that almost matches. I will start on the woodwork in the next few weeks

I would humbly suggest using hide glue instead of super glue. Hide glue makes a reversible repair and is the same glue as originally used.

I have never heard of Hide Glue. Just looked it up and saw that it bonds to glass as well. Game Changer!! Thank you very much.
