    Very early water proof watch. Elgin, serial number 20653936. Dating to 1917. Very early ’Depolier Case’ marked on side:’ Depolier Co. Waterproof Watch’ Patent No: 1,172,601, granted Feb.22 1916 (filed Nov 9, 1915). Crown locks down, both back and glass bezel screwed down by tags. 3/0 size, Model 2, Grade 419, 15 jewels, 3/4 plate, nickel, double roller, pendant set, hunting, silvered metal Arabic dial with luminous numerals marked "Elgin", seconds at 6:00 black painted screw back case marked "Depollier Trademark, Waterproof Watch" on side of case. Inside of case back marked "Pat. Feb/ 22, 16. Sept.11, 17. June 11,18. Jan. 28,19. June 10, 1919."
