Looking for a balance complete for a Tudor (ETA) 2462. Note that this is different than the balance for a 2452, as this has balance screws, and is for a Kif shock setting.

Please PM if you have something thanks.

Cheers, Al

At the NAWCC mart, I bought this Adams and Perry 19 size watch. It is not in its original case and obviously, the hour and minute hands are incorrect. The movement and dial are in good condition, and I know these watches have some value and are desirable from a collection standpoint. Will this movement fit in an 18 size case? Where can a get a huntington case that will look as original as possible? I believe spade hands go with this watch. Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Dave,
The way Cary did it and I helped him with it , was after 90 Days we would move the threads to the dead area unless we heard form the poster that he still needed the part.

That kept it down to less than 50 posts on the forum.

We posted this in the first thread to keep everyone informed.

Good idea, Jim. So, sometime in the next week or so, I'll do some major housecleaning on this thread. I'll then try to keep it to the 90 day rule. Members who have longer standing requests that they want to keep, can use the new "Want to Buy" forum at the bottom of the main page. We'll keep this sticky for immediate and short term needs.

Hello,
I have a preowned Dubois Dépraz caliber 9000 module mounted on an ETA 2824-2.
The module carries a Day Disc of 10mm diameter that has an injury, please see attached picture.
I have tried hard to find a replacement part of the Day Disc, but unfortunately without success. So I hope very much indeed that you can help and make it possible for me to purchase this disc - that would mean a lot to me!
Thanks and best Regards :)

I'm still looking for a case for a verge fusee. the problem is that it is small and thick. It measures 36mm across the wide plate and is 13mm thick to the dial surface. I know from past messages I put in that most of these were made to fit but I'm willing to do some modifications to a case that needs it. I have it in a glass container for the past two years cause I don't want it to get dirty as it was when I first got it. It still runs and only gets about a minute fast in twenty four hours. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks all.

Good morning nice people.

I am looking for a mainspring for my Longines caliber 18.80 pocket watch, made in 1900.
Can anybody give me a hint where to get it?
Does anyone have it?

Have a great day.

Cheers,

Welcome to the forum.

You will find a thread called "Watch Parts and Service Sources" at the top of the "Watch Repair" forum.

Meassure the old mainspring, (Thickness, width, length Type of attachment in barrel), and contact some of the suppliers listed there. My guess is that you will find a replacement mainspring withouth too much effort.
(One example to would be Daves Watch Parts!)

In need of a 4th wheel upper plate jewel for an Elgin grade 410 (0-size). Elgin parts index says that this is part # 1400.

Need a Swiss tongue end mainspring 10 x 6 x 16 (1.90mm x 0.17mm x 16in) or as close to that as I can get. Alloy preferred but will take steel if that's all I can get.

I'm looking for a couple of mainsprings for English watches that I'm working on. The spring I found that works perfectly is the Oris 430 'Alarm' Spring (not the 'Time' spring - it's too strong). Measurements are 4.0 x .15 x 19 (31 x 7 x 19 Dennison). However, I will take any spring that is between 3.5mm and 4.0mm. Strength needs to be between .15 and .20. Length around 18 or 19 but I can cut down a longer spring. End style doesn't matter. I need two of them. Thanks!

Hello, I am repairing an Elgin B.W. Raymond, size-18, 19-jewel, grade 240 movement that came with some incorrect/missing screws. (the watch belonged to my great grandfather). Dave's WatchParts was able to provide 2 of the 3 that I needed but, so far, I have not been able to locate the last missing screw.

The missing screw is Elgin part #2036 (labeled either for the balance cock or the barrel bridge; these screws are the same).

Hopefully someone here can help. Thank you in advance and happy holidays!

p.s. The screw dimensions are listed below (as measured from another barrel bridge screw in the movement).
overall length = 6.36 mm
head diameter = 2.03 mm
head height = 1.64 mm
thread diameter = 1.05 mm
TPI = 120 (ballpark number!)

Wilsonpaule. Please be advised, the model 92 was modified many times in its 20 year history. The company changed the overall specs several times. Changes occurred with the lever setting, the mainspring barrel, the regulator, the hairspring stud, the plate screw layout, and most important is that they changed the specs on pivots and arbors.

My main point is that finding replacement parts that fit is extremely difficult.

For your 4th wheel, if you a find one from a watch very near your sn, you have a chance. Good luck

Tom

Thanks Tom

I have been doing a lot of reading on other people's problems with the 1892 pinion issue. I think I may have a long wait ahead of me before I find a replacement part that fits! There seem to have been a few different pinion sizes for the 1892. Funny thing is, none of them are available on the open market. Someone must be hoarding them all, LOL! There is a desk drawer somewhere in the world with 20 of each version. Now to find that drawer.....

Need one jar for my L&R tempo 400. One of mine has developed a crack. Evidently they are a little smaller that the early jars. The earlier jars are 3 5/8 across the top. The one I need is 3 9/16. Thanks.

I have some for the older L &R measures about the same 3 5/8 or 9/16 The 5/8 is 1/16 larger than 9/16.
