Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I had sent the photos of my moonphase Paul Breguette movement to someone mentioned on the list here. He told me that the movement was Valjoux 90 and that I need a canon pinion of Valjoux 90 triple calendar moonphae useed in Paul Breguette 17 J winding wristwatch.
Pl help. The photos are given here. In one of the photos, you can see R engraved in stylish fashion and 90 embossed. And all the time I thought it to be Record 90 caliber!

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Wanted: stem & crown for omega electronic chronometer f300 - cal 1250 case reference 198.030
The crown needs to be gold color.
Not sure if I have enough stem sticking out to attach just a crown.
My case is very worn, I would be even more happy if anyone had a case with crown, I already have the back?

Who have you tried? Have you tried the usuals... McCaws, Jules Borel, Cas-ker. Also be sure to try all the suppliers listed in the parts sources sticky, if need be.

Cousinsuk.com has a lot of tech manuals. Also- be sure to give www.watchrepairinfo.com a try.

I'd start with McCaw's in Ohio, and Otto Frei in California. They both stock a lot of Omega parts. But almost any supplier listed in the parts sources may be able to supply the parts.

Have you tried Bryan Eyring, Brian Cavanaugh, or Bob McKnight? They have a lot of good used material for American pocket watches. Their contact info is in the part sources sticky.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I have an older (1960s or early 70s) Omega Seamaster De Ville wrist watch, and have a couple of questions. A watchsmith told me that the model number on the inside was L-6590. The first question I have is simply: What exact year is this watch? The second related to repair: The watch is missing what I believe is the "bezel". It is a ring that goes around the crystal on the front of the watch. How can I find this part / repair the watch?

I'm looking for a crystal for a Seiko . . . late 60's early 70's vintage, not sure of the exact model name.

Case is a Square, Type 1 with a W type crown. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Case needed/ Anyone help?

I think the people on the MB should know that I have a case with his specs that I offered to sell to him. He balked at the price I was asking. I was asking the price for the weight of the sterling silver in the case. He wanted me to go much lower, and I refused. I don't think that he realizes that these items are not common, especially in the size he is requesting. Also, selling any case at less than scrap value is just asking for it to be scrapped.

Re: Case needed/ Anyone help?

Hi Tom,

I guess the echoing silence means that nobody has anything to help you. The only place I've seen any quantity of cases is that big auction site, but the vendors often don't know anything about what they're selling, so some detailed questions are needed.

Good luck in your search!

Regards,

Graham

Hi Laura,
I think many of us have stocks of luminous hands but what is "Promethium"? Is it a brand name? How could someone determine the origins of a particular luminous paint? Are there particular products this paint is associated with? Are you a lawyer? I am curious what you're looking for. -Cort

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Just to let the admin. know that I have managed to locate the necessary retaining springs required. Knowing the correct KIF part nos. made all the difference, an invaluable piece of knowledge. I purchased a few as I anticipate the potential loss of a couple when setting them.:)

Obviously, I shall still require a cal. 2135 fork pallet, which I appreciate will be more difficult to locate.:(
Did you get sorted with pallets for your movement. Regards May

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I'm looking for a part for the Certina caliber 919-1. I need a new canon pinion/minute pinion and wheel attached to it.
I gave the watch (a DS from around 1980) a complete overhaul, and it is looking absolutely stunning, but the watch is not keeping time because the old part(minute pinion) is broken.
Cab anyone please help me? I'm looking forward to wear the watch!

Did you get your material for the mvt. regards May

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I replaced my first watch movement on a Skagen 583XLSXDO (Harley Ronda 706).
All went well except the flying sub-dial hand (.20 x 4mm) I believe.
Can anyone help with parts location?
Thanks in advance and this may be my last watch repair!! These are tiny!!

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Looking for Bulova 10 BNCH sweep second bridges or someone who can reproduce the part (I can provide an original). I need about 10 of them to complete my military watch restorations.
Also searching for a Longines 11.88 or 11.87 center wheel.
