I'm not sure who you emailed, but Cas-ker, Esslingers, Twin city, or Eckcells, may have the part. You could also try Mechanical Watch Supply.

Hi thanks for the reply . Already tried all of your suggestions , waiting on Esslinger to reply no luck with the others . Joe from twin city replied by asking who I was and saying they don't do blind parts and accessories info ? So not sure even if he has the part .

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I recently bought a waltham 12 size open face pocket watch. The seller told me it was in good working condition. While dissembling i do covered the watch has been treated by somebody who thinks it's a good habit to drown the movement in oil...
After cleaning, i discovered that the lower escape wheel pivot was broken.
So, I'm looking for a baseplate of a model 1894 waltham pocket watch, with all jewels intact. I'm also looking for a escape wheel for the same movement, because the pivot is the broken bearing was quite worn down.
I'm not good enough with the stone press to fit in a new jewel in the baseplate, so I chose to search for a new baseplate.

If anyone has the parts needed or a complete movement, please let me know.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Hi,
I require a pallet fork for a ladies Rolex Datejust, calibre 2135. I also require a pkt. of Incabloc retaining springs for the same calibre wristwatch. I believe the part nos. of the latter are 2130--0913-2 and 2130-0915-1.

I live in the London area and the only two watch material suppliers I am aware of aren't particularly helpful, unless of course one is ordering a freight load of quartz parts. I appreciate I could probably find a pallet on one of the major internet auction sites, but I am not prepared to pay grossly inflated prices to Rolex 'approved repairers' who are profiteering from ordering parts under the guise of repairing customer's watches whilst actually reselling them on the internet for extravagant profits

I am prepared to pay up to £50 sterling for a new or used pallet in serviceable condition and thank you in advance for any help that may be able to be afforded to me in this matter.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

diatribe,

Welcome to the forum! I see you found the spare parts section first and I hope you get some help.

I can't help you with any parts, even if I own a couple of Rolex watches, but I thought you could be helped by reading this thread:

https://mb.nawcc.org/showthread.php?86726-Rolex-2135
Thanks for the link, I had actually already perused it and found it to be very useful. That's where I got the parts nos. for the Incabloc shockproof retainer springs from.

I've now Emailed a few material suppliers in other parts of the country with the relevant details, hopefully they will be a tad more helpful than the London ones. There's one circa 5 miles from me who won't entertain personal collections, hardly surprising, considering he charges as much for the postage as for the parts.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

According to my bulova parts catalog, the 10BP and the 10BU use the same lower shock setting as the 10CSC.

Do you need just the balance jewel- or do you need the whole KIF setting?

I may have a few 10BU movements...I'll look and see.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

With further ref. to the shockproof retaining springs I require, I've just seen one advertised on a 'GET RICH QUICK' good ole USA site in Birmingham, Alabama for $27. $27!!!! why one would require circa 100 of these to comprise a gram in weight which would work out at $2700 per gram for steel.

http://www.thewatchshopbirmingham.com/store/rolex-2135-parts/

Maybe these columbian drug cartels are in the wrong business and would benefit from diversifying into importing C shaped metal clips into the western hemisphere:rolleyes:

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Without wishing to appear both repetitive and monotonous, I wish to further add to my comments vis a vis the Incabloc shockproof upper jewel sytem on my cal. 2135 Rolex datejust wristwatch.

After further scrutinisation of various movements, I have found a couple of cal. 485 Omega movements that appear to contain exactly the same shockproof system, ie measurements and retaining springs appear to be identical to the Rolex cal. 2135. Both these movements are in full working order complete with hands, winding stems and buttons. Therefore, before cannibalising them for the unit, I would be grateful for confirmation that they are exactly the same.

Secondly, I do not possess any type of press device for extracting the units or for resetting them and will be reliant on carefully pushing them out of the Omega with a handmade wooden tool and the same with inserting them into the Rolex calibre 2135. Obviously, I have already detached the balance platform from the staff, roller, hairspring. I would therefore be grateful for not only confirmation that the aforementioned two calibres are interchangeable, but that as a fairly skilled watch restorer, I should be able to complete the changeover without incurring any damage with the tools at my disposal.

I thank you in advance for any help other subscribers may be able to afford me in this matter. I would also be grateful if , in the opinion of a moderator, these questions would be better served in another section of this website, he/she would be kind enough to transfer it to the appropriate thread.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Just to let the admin. know that I have managed to locate the necessary retaining springs required. Knowing the correct KIF part nos. made all the difference, an invaluable piece of knowledge. I purchased a few as I anticipate the potential loss of a couple when setting them.:)

Obviously, I shall still require a cal. 2135 fork pallet, which I appreciate will be more difficult to locate.:(

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

You will never get the "correct" cock and regulator unless you find one with the same part number as the rest of the movement, instead you will get a correct type replacement. When it comes time to sell the watch, you should reveal that all the parts do not match and you will find it will not be worth near as much. Iif you just need it for a personal carry watch, maybe you can find something that fits. I wish you luck.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

Any help on where I can find porcelain Rolex dial having side second for Rolex wrist watch calibre 7660? Used/preowned would do. If not, then a similar dial would do. Legs between 4 & 5 and 11 & 12.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

I bought an eterna matic Kontiki watch new in Switzerland in the 1960s. It has a very heavy stainless steel bracelet which now (yes after over 60 years) needs extra links. I am reluctant to change to a more modern strap. my bracelet is well worn and several pins need replacing. Is there any specialists who would refurbish this for me?

The protective dust cover measures 48.3mm and there is a lip by the dial that measures 2.6mm including the dial thickness. Elgin #867 balance staff

I am seeking a replacement #867 balance staff for a grade 31 Elgin pocket watch movement. I have never seen this part referenced (one mention of it in this forum turns out to be in error) so even a confirmation that such a part can no longer be found (or is extremely hard to find) would be helpful in guiding my search.

Many thanks, Stuart.

Re: Watch Parts Wanted

There's a tricky one. I know it won't be easy, but... I certainly won't find one not looking for it ;). I'm in need of an early American 10s keywind case (for Elgin's 10s kw movement. The material is not really important, only I can't afford solid gold ones... Condition average or higher is most welcome.

Looking for a banking pin and hairspring for a Waltham 18s Model 1883, 15j adjusted, serial # 5715474. From the 1909 parts catalogue I believe the banking pin is number 1410, and the hairspring should be either 1380, 1381, 1384, or 1385, but I am not sure which.

For a case, it is not a female sleeve, but it's a female stem. These are for movements with the extended male winding arbor--American watch Co model 77 is an example.

I'm looking for a part for the Certina caliber 919-1. I need a new canon pinion/minute pinion and wheel attached to it.
I gave the watch (a DS from around 1980) a complete overhaul, and it is looking absolutely stunning, but the watch is not keeping time because the old part(minute pinion) is broken.
Cab anyone please help me? I'm looking forward to wear the watch!

Have you tried Bryan Eyring, Brian Cavanaugh, or Bob McKnight? They have a lot of good used material for American pocket watches. Their contact info is in the part sources sticky.
