    Thank you for sharing this.

I can't believe that the clock wasn't secured at another point so it would not come off the wall. All of my wall clocks are secured to prevent this.

That certainly is a sad story. I think it may have one saving grace in that it is a modern work by the artist who made it and can be restored or recreated by the original creator. That is better than the same fate to a Tompion or Stretch clock.

I saw this item on my evening news tonight in Los Angeles. I remember seeing that clock last year when I visited.

The "saving grace" is rather cold comfort. For every fool who does something like this, there is another one standing in line to do it to the Tompion. If I knew who the guy is, I'd join a club and beat him with it.

I,agree. Some folks have no respect for property that does not belong to them. Being curious is no excuse. Having a "You break it, you bought it" sign at the entrance might be helpful.

I just saw this on boingboing.com. This was beyond a simple touch, he was messing around with it. I hope he ponies up for the repairs. -Cort

Not the way I would seek attention, but with over 250,000 people hearing about the NAWCC there is a bit of a silver lining in this sad story.

His picture needs to be promenatly displayed in the Hall Of Shame so everyone knows who this moron is and hopefully he will be banned from entering any place that has anything to do with clocks.

I have nightmares where I just walk briskly by something like that and the wind I generate causes a similar catastrophe !
