    Hi just joined forum
I have always been into clocks and had a hankering to fiddle with them although not done much to date but as I am of retiring age although not retired I thought it was about time I took the plunge, so I found a kona in an second hand shop priced at £20 and as it had no key and they didn’t know if it worked I gave them £15 upon getting it home I had a look and found the torsion spring in a very sad state (see photos) ordered new one and this is where I need help according to a site in UK I needed a 0.0035 but I have seen on other sites it should be a 0.0032 not a lot of difference in size I know but in clock terms quite a lot.
Also see pictures of my other clocks apart from one my wife purchased me for our 25th wedding anniversary this is in the shop having a full professional service as if I did that myself and it never worked again my life would not be worth living.
If anyone can supply any links to working on anniversary clocks it would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the message board! As for the Koma and the other anniversary clock, it would be best discussed in the 400-day & Atmos part of the forum. Possibly a moderator could help out.

I have little experience with "other" clocks, but anniversary require quite a bit of care when cleaning...any excess friction will reduce chances the clock will run. There are needs to set the beat properly.

You may want to look for the book by Terwillger which fully documents the anniversary clocks along with a discussion of how the movement works.

    Thanks for reply kirt
I have seen that book advertised and found the 400 day forum after I posted but I didn’t want to repost.

Never mind, the moderator will move it for you if he deems it necessary.

400 day clocks can be a pain to get right - not sure they are the best to start on, but on the other hand they have simple movements.
